MAFS' Teejay reveals the one question he found most 'confronting' after telling Beth that he wanted to leave the experiment
Married At First Sight groom Teejay has a lot to answer for after he blindsided wife Teejay with his decision to 'leave' the experiment at Monday's Commitment Ceremony.
Considering she'd chosen to 'stay', Beth was left feeling "embarrassed" and "gutted".

Since telling his wife that he didn't see a future with her, Teejay appeared on Today Extra and revealed the one question that he found the most "confronting" – and it didn't come from whom you might expect.

According to Teejay, it was during Homestays Week at Beth's family home with her parents that he realised his feelings hadn't progressed.
And it was Beth's dad who led Teejay to that epiphany when he asked whether or not he'd leave his daughter heartbroken.
"Don't get me wrong, Beth's family are incredible and obviously have Beth's best interest at heart," he explained.
"Hearing questions like that, 'Yes or no – do you want to be with her right now?' That's just how I felt in the moment and I was honest with how I was feeling.
"But questions like that were definitely confronting."

As per the rules of the experiment because Beth wrote 'stay', she and Teejay will remain in the experiment for another week.
It was a tough pill for Beth to swallow, who in an exclusive with 9Entertainmentadmitted had she known Teejay was writing leave she would've done the same.

Despite having to be the heartbreaker, Teejay empathised with Beth's position.
"I do get a lot of the blame because I'm being honest with how I feel, and that sucks for both parties but obviously more for the one that is receiving that information," he said.
"I can empathise with Beth that would be so hard to hear that we've spent so much time together and I'm just not feeling things growing as softly as I can."
