As Carina and Paul were declared husband and wife, their friends and family gushed about the good-looking pair's immediate chemistry.

After their fairytale ceremony ended, Carina dropped a major bombshell.
"I know him," she told a production member. She explained that she and Paul had gone on a hiking date about eight months ago, but he "ghosted" her afterwards.
"I actually thought I was going to meet someone who I've never known, so right now I'm just disappointed by the whole situation," Carina admitted.
"Who knows, it might be all over for Paul and I," Carina said before their marriage had even begun.

Soon after their meeting at the altar, Carina confronted Paul about ghosting her and he apologised.
Not only that, but he also told her parents about their history and quickly got their seal of approval.
The pair ended their rollercoaster day on the highest of highs, with a kiss!
"I'm smitten!" Carina shared.
"Smitten on every situation, the day, the venue, the person, I definitely judged a book by its cover, but getting to know who he really is inside, I have high hopes that this is going to work."

It was clear as day that the chemistry between Carina and Paul was palpable.
Intimacy Week only proved that even more as a series of tasks pushed the pair out of their comfort zone and closer together.
The couple go from strength to strength
At the first few rounds of Commitment Ceremonies, Carina and Paul's relationship was basically unfaultable.
They admitted the experiment gave them a second chance after their real-life date fizzled and confirmed they were "absolutely" being intimate.
Their families hit it off
By the fourth week of the experiment, a visit from Carina's sister and aunt and Paul's sister and friend only solidified how strong the couple were.
With their friends and family hitting it off Carin and Paul began to see a real future together.
Paul makes a shocking announcement
At the fourth Dinner Party, Carina and Paul weren't their usual selves.
They'd just had their first "massive argument". After learning that Carina had slept with a rapper in her past, Paul "lost control" and punched a hole in a door.
While Carina was understandably upset, she stood by Paul as he told the group what happened.
"I did something that I absolutely regret, something that is absolutely unacceptable," he began telling the table.
"I lost control and I punched a hole in the bedroom door... it's disgusting and I'm still hating myself for doing this."
He again apologised, said it'd never happened before and it will never happen again.
Watching on, the experts explained how serious this was.
"Paul has behaved in a totally unacceptable way," John reacted.
"And he needs to be able to control his behaviour, period," Alessandra agreed.
They noticed the quiet atmosphere in the room, as the group don't quite know how to handle this admission.
Dave expressed his disappointment in Paul, while Jamie asked how Carina was.
Carina said she accepted him taking accountability and didn't want to throw in the towel.
Paul makes a shocking announcement
The experts were not content with just letting it go.
"There's nothing normal about that behaviour, there's nothing acceptable about that behaviour," John said.
They were shocked by such a serious development and knew they "absolutely" had to call it out at the Commitment Ceremony.

The couple recounted their argument and Paul's shocking reaction to the experts, who were very disturbed by the admission.
The experts immediately jumped in to set this straight, making it clear that that was absolutely not normal behaviour in a relationship.
John then drew a very clear line in the sand.
"This is toxic, inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour that you must see now," he said.
"Frankly, I don't feel very good about this. I want you to tell us why the three experts should not kick you out of the experiment right now."
An emotional Paul expressed his regret and shame. He said he wanted to continue to build on his really strong feelings for Carina in the experiment.
Carina said she was very uncomfortable with talking about it, but said once again that she was not scared of Paul.
Despite the very difficult circumstances, the couple remained loyal to one another and both chose to 'stay' in the experiment.
