Ridge's lingo explained as wife Jade reacts to being called 'deece' on her wedding day on MAFS 2024
When the nation was introduced to new Married At First Sight groom Ridge, they were also introduced to some of the surprising terms and phrases he uses with his friends.
Perhaps the most notable was "deece", which is a shortened word for "decent" and is a slang word for something you like or appreciate.

"Deece means decent, which is like... very good looking in our terminology," groomsmen Chris grinned during the episode.

He even got his friends to shout the word in the middle of the ceremony, which stunned many – including his new bride, Jade.

Jade discussed the moment on Today Extra on Wednesday morning, saying it was a lot to get used to... and she wasn't necessarily too happy about it.

"It was a lot," she said. "I definitely thought it was a joke at first, but I can confirm it's exactly the same. How they are on screen is real life."

Overall it was a great start for Jade and Ridge on their wedding day, and the groom was very supportive when he learned she has a young daughter.
