MAFS' Ellie Dix and Jonathan McCullough tease 'massive' future plans after going into business together

Married At First Sight's Ellie Dix and Jonathan McCullough have gone from strength to strength since leaving the experiment – despite entering with different partners.

And while celebrating Jono's birthday this week, the bride shared a sweet tribute to her other half while teasing even more exciting plans for their future.

After travelling Europe for three months, Ellie shared that Jono is "house hunting" for the duo as they prepare for their next adventure – starting a cosmetic company together.

While the duo moved in together post-experiment, it appears they might be searching for their forever home.

"Happy Birthday @jono.mccullough, I hope you have the best day (even though you're probably house hunting & setting up our new business 😂🤪)." she gushed.

"Forever grateful for you and everything you do for us. I feel like this next year for you is going to be massive and I'm so excited for what's to come!! I love you."

The couple celebrated the occasion with a huge meal alongside their pals.

It comes weeks after Ellie, who worked as a cosmetic nurse before leaving her job and travelling Australia with Jono, confirmed the couple's new business venture online.

"We have started a company together and it is a cosmetic company, so I am going back to work as an injector, and so excited," Ellie shared, adding that she would be offering a range of other treatments too.

"I literally became the director of the company yesterday, we have found a really cool space for me to work out of, so yeah, watch this space."

While she would be the face of the new company, Ellie shouted out Jono for "doing the whole business set up".

"He has worked so hard behind the scenes, sorting out all of the trust company, like registering things with ASIC [Australian Securities and Investments Commission].

"It has been a monster of a task so thank you so much Jono, you're amazing, love you."

While they were still working through the "finer details", Ellie said they were hoping to open the business in about a month.

She said she would be using her business platform to talk about "skin health".

"I'm really big on skin health and it's not just about putting a needle in your face, it's about other treatment modalities as well, so I'm really excited about that."

During MAFS, Jono was matched with Lauren Dunn and Ellie was paired with Ben Walters.

However, those relationships did not work out and the pair revealed their relationship at the Reunion, surprising their castmates.
