In one scene, Layton revealed he had attempted to light a candle... by using a toaster.

"I thought it would be a good idea to get some paper and the light the toaster, and then try to light the paper on the toaster, and then try to light the candle from the paper which would have caught flame from the toaster..." he explained, fleshing out his master plan.

"That didn't go as planned."

After the paper fell into toaster, Layton attempted to stick a knife in to retrieve it – which is obviously, incredibly dangerous.

"You would've woken up to an electrocuted husband," he joked to an unimpressed wife.
