Watch: The conversation that led Anthony to walk out on his MAFS honeymoon with Selin
Selin and Anthony started their marriage on a high. Their intimate wedding was beautiful, they both had good first impressions of each other, and they both bonded over being single parents. It seemed like a great match!
But things started to unravel on their honeymoon. It started when Anthony tried to feed Selin fruit in bed. Then a playful pottery class went downhill after Anthony put clay on Selin's face. They went glamping to try patch things up, but it only got worse.

Selin was not happy to get clay on her face. Nine
While Anthony told Selin he was starting to feel more comfortable around her, she said she wasn't "feeling the spark". And then she said:
"When you have your moments, I'm not feeling like I am around someone who can protect me — emotionally, mentally. I mean I'm definitely not saying you're not a man or anything like that, but it's hard to... I feel like you need a lot."

What Anthony needed in that moment was space from Selin. He left the campsite and it seemed like they might have spent the night separately. But they had a big argument overnight.
"Last night, she just started with the name-calling, like, 'What are you doing, princess? How you doing, princess? You feeling alright, princess?'" Anthony told the cameras. "[She was] sort of goading me. I can't just sit there and let her just talk to me like that and think that that's OK. After a while, me being a human being, you can only take so much."
From Selin's perspective, Anthony wasn't interacting with her. "I did make the comment. What did I say? Like 'Smile, princess,' or something like that," she recalled. "Then he carried on and started calling me a bully.
"And how he reacted, it's definitely not how a man should react."

The following morning Anthony approached Selin. He started by apologising for some of the language he used.
"I told you how I felt. I told you that sometimes I can feel vulnerable, yeah I can feel down a little every now and then," he said. "And then behind closed doors I'll be sitting on the couch and you'll be looking at me going, 'Are you going to have a boohoo today?'"
"I'm frustrated," Selin admitted. "You sat here, you came, you apologised. All you said was you're blaming me! 'I did this because of you,' instead of saying, 'I know what I done was wrong'."
Their conversation went around in circles like this. In the end it was enough for Anthony.
"I apologise for myself," he said, getting up from the table. "I apologise for how I acted, for how I carried myself. If you can't do that for yourself, I feel sorry for you."

And with that he left Selin, packed his bag and left their stunning accommodation.
