In a new sneak peek, the 25-year-old carpenter from Sydney appeared more confident than ever coming into his experiment despite never having a girlfriend before.

"I think the other grooms will love me, everybody loves me," he says in the video, which you can watch above.

Al is your classic fun guy and describes himself "as someone who loves to party, lives life on the edge".

Being single and still living at home, Al's just had no interest until recently to be in a committed relationship. But it's not for a lack of confidence.

"I'm half-Malaysian and half-Australian and I guess that's why girls love me so much," he laughed, adding, "If I had to give myself a rating out of 10, it'd be 11."

But with all that confidence, there was one question that left him lost for words.

"Do you have any insecurities?" a producer asked.

Al had to think long and hard about this one.

After racking his brain for an answer, he revealed he was insecure about his legs.

"They aren't as muscly as I want them to be."
