Exclusive: MAFS' Clint reveals what happened after he and Lauren abruptly left the experiment and returned home

EXCLUSIVE: Married At First Sight couple Lauren and Clint shocked experts and fans when they walked out for Sunday night's Commitment Ceremony.

After both deciding to 'leave' the experiment, the pair were "interested" in seeing if they would work outside the experiment environment.

"Sure, I hope that it does blossom into something," Lauren said at the time.

But in an exclusive exit interview, Clint revealed exactly what happened in the weeks that followed.

He opened up on whether Lauren made it to his home in Tasmania and shared the one thing he "absolutely regrets".

Clint said as they left the experiment they had plans to continue seeing each other in their "natural environment".

It wasn't until he got home and had time to himself, he had quite the realisation.

"Reflecting on my time in the experiment and some of the behaviours that [Lauren] demonstrated, I was just like, 'You know what, I don't think this is my person'," he admitted.

"This is not someone I want to keep putting in, and doing everything I can, to make it work."

In his exit interview, Clint also opened up about being "isolated" from the rest of the group following the explosive final night of the Couples Retreat.

He reflected on the "terrible name calling" that happened and watching back, revealed the one thing he "absolutely regrets."

"I don't normally regret things in life, but that is definitely a situation I regret for sure," he confessed.
