Love Island UK's host Laura Whitmore and the show's voice over narrator Iain Stirling have tied the knot in a secret wedding on November 11, according to The Sun.

The couple reportedly wed in a humanist ceremony at Dublin's City Hall in Ireland in front of 25 guests, which was the maximum allowed under Ireland's COVID-19 restrictions at the time. Laura's half-brother Adam and Iain's sister Kirsten served as witnesses.

The couple reportedly met at an ITV party in 2016 before making their relationship official a year later.

Engagement rumours were sparked in April 2020 when Laura was spotted with a large ring on her engagement finger.

Iain, 32, has been working as the voice of Love Island UK since the show's inception in 2015, while Laura, 35, became the host of the show in 2020, following the tragic death of former host Caroline Flack.

Laura opened up about the beginning of their romance together during an appearance on the In The Duffle Bag podcast.

"When we first met [Iain] didn't even hit on me. He was too nervous to hit on me! I think he was intimidated by me," she said.

"I remember Iain was too scared to ask me out, so in the end I had to ask him out. He used to send me random messages, DM me and ask me about my dog. It took nine months but we got there, I was like, 'Let's just go for a drink.' I think I had to make the moves on him."

Iain has regularly referred to Laura as his "best friend", gushing about his wife on her 35th birthday while he thanked her for being relaxed about his lawn-killing ways.

He also referred to her as his "best mate" on their two-year anniversary.

In 2018 Laura was pregnant, but sadly suffered a miscarriage. The star previously opened up to The Times about the "guilt" associated with the event.

"It took me a year to talk about my miscarriage. I'd heard about people having miscarriages when they were trying for babies, but my situation was very different," she revealed.

"What happens if you weren't trying for a baby? I had that guilt of, 'I wasn't expecting this,' so then you change your life. But then suddenly you have to change your head again after the miscarriage."
