Love Island UK star Lana Jenkins thanks emergency services after being left 'a nervous wreck'

Love Island UK star Lana Jenkins was rescued by emergency services after she was stuck in a lift.

The 25-year-old rose to fame on the winter series of Love Island UK alongside her boyfriend Ron Hall.

Since leaving the Villa, Lana has been keeping her 575,000 fans up to date with her life and even when she found herself stuck in an elevator she made sure to share it with her followers.

The makeup artist was in the lift with two of her friends when it got stuck and the trio were quick to call for help.

"Soooo our day…. 30 minutes stuck in a lift that jolted I don't think we've ever panicked so much," Lara wrote on her Instagram stories.

It wasn't long before the Manchester fire department came to the rescue to save Lana and her friends.

It was a huge relief for the TV star who thanked the firemen in a separate post.

"Thanks to @manchesterfire for being so quick and calming us nervous wrecks," she said.

Lana and Ron were runners-up on Season 9 of Love Island UK. The pair were initially coupled up on from day one and later in the series realised their chemistry was undeniable.

Fans quickly took a liking to Lana and Ron's relationship, especially after the emotional moment they shared when Ron revealed to Lana that he was blind in one eye.

The couple are currently in a long distance relationship with Ron based in Essex and Lana in Manchester but it doesn't seem to be hindering their romance in the slightest.
