Watch Love Island UK's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti come face-to-face at the Barbie premiere after their shock split

Love Island UK's Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu shocked fans when they ended their romance at the end of last month.

And just weeks after their heartbreaking demise, the former couple came face-to-face as they both attended the same Barbie premiere in London on Wednesday evening.

In a clip taken by TikToker @uktravel, Ekin-Su and Davide's awkward run-in was caught on camera as both made their way through the crowds at the star-studded event.

The video was taken as Margot Robbie signed autographs for the masses of fans queueing to see her – but in the background, the former couple could be seen locking eyes just metres away from each other.

Ekin-Su appeared to spot Davide first, and brushed her hair off her shoulder as he took a quick glance in her direction.

He then turned around and continued making his way through the crowd, as she seemingly mouthed, "Wow."

The pair didn't appear to interact, and it's not known if they saw each other later in the evening.

The former couple were later seen queuing for a photo with Margot separately while standing next to each other, and both posted their solo snaps with the megastar – who has previously expressed that she's a huge Love Island fan – online.

Alongside a photo with the actress, Ekin-Su wrote: "Icons only, Margot you are magic."

Ekin-Su looked absolutely stunning in a slinky pink off-shoulder dress, which she teamed with some sparkly stilettos.

Meanwhile, Davide took to his own Instagram page to share photos with Margot and later posed in the same Barbie-themed phone box that his former partner did.

"My day, it's completed," he captioned a post of himself and Margot. "I'm a Barbie man, in a Barbie world."

Davide confirmed that the duo had ended their romance in a post shared to Instagram late last month.

Ekin-Su, however, had remained silent on the matter until earlier this week.

"Hi everyone, I thought it was time to come back online to thank you so much for all of your messages over the past two weeks," Ekin-Su wrote on Monday.

"It has shown me what a kind, supportive, strong community I have behind me. I took some much needed time away with my family which has been really special but now it's time to realign and get back to work.

"I have such an exciting year ahead and I want to fully focus on that. I really appreciate your ongoing support. Thank you for cheering me on. Ekin x."

Ekin-Su didn't address the split directly in the post, like Davide had weeks prior.

"Ekin-Su and I are no longer together," his statement began.

"I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best.

"I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time, I will continue to support Ekin in anyway possible. Davide."

He later claimed he and Ekin-Su had planned to post an announcement at the same time, but added: "At first she even agreed to post at the same time, she did change her mind last minute though.

"I respected her decision to not post it at the same time as me, but since the relationship has been on the rocks for months and partying ways has been a long time coming, I ultimately decided to go ahead with it rather than keep on dragging a situation that became unhealthy for both of us.

"This has been the hardest thing I ever did in my life and there's no perfect way to navigate a breakup.'"

The couple had met on Love Island UK last year, where they were crowned the winners of the show.
