Former Love Island Australia Islander Luke Packham has announced his engagement on Instagram in a sweet picture with him and his fiancée diving in Byron Bay.

"Took this girl diving today and popped the question at the bottom of the ocean! Was a moment I will remember forever," he wrote in the post that showed him kissing a blonde woman.

Several of Luke's Love Island Australia co-stars congratulated him on the post.

"So happy for you both," wrote Anna McEvoy, who won Season 2 with Luke's brother Josh. They're still happily loved up and living together in Melbourne.

"Congratulations brother!!! Little sad it wasn't me though," Gerard Majda commented.

There were also messages from Matthew Zukowski, Jessie Wynter, Cynthia Taylu, Jordan Cayless and Isabelle Grace.

While Luke is yet to have used to his bride-to-be's name or tag her in any of his social media posts, it appears as though the couple are very happy together less than a year after the brawny twin appeared on Love Island Australia with his brother Josh.

Luke's new fiancée has only appeared in two other Instagram posts that similarly did not show her face or identify her. The photo was posted in December, showing him kissing his new girlfriend.

"If your God is money, you will always be poor. But if your God is love, you will always be rich," he captioned the post.

Then in September he shared another photo featuring their silhouettes against a beautiful sunset backdrop. "The best things in life are free," Luke captioned this image.

Not long after sharing the cryptic post in 2019, Luke took to his Instagram stories to update his curious followers about the fact that she wished to maintain a private identity.

"Guys... I shared a photo with you, however she does NOT have Instagram so please stop asking me who she is when she has never had an Instagram account," he wrote.
