Love Island Australia host Sophie Monk unable to smile as her face is temporarily paralysed after routine dental procedure

Love Island Australia's Sophie Monk shared multiple videos to her social media after a trip to the dentist left her face temporarily paralysed.

In one of the videos, the 44-year-old sat patiently as she waited to have a filling done.

The beloved TV host then filmed herself trying to smile, but thanks to the local anesthetic Sophie was struggling to control her expressions.

After failing to crack a smile, Sophie tried her hand at whistling but that was just as unsuccessful.

"Try and smile after a filling," Sophie wrote in her caption.

Sophie made various attempt to smile, each time her mouth drooped open.

"It feels like my nose got longer," the TV host said in one clip, before attempting to whistle.

"Here's your reminder to go to the dentist," she added.

Sophie's facial movements were limited temporarily but the effects of the local anesthetic would wear off within a few hours.

Sophie loves keeping her 688,000 Instagram followers up-to-date with her life and entertained.

The TV host often posts funny videos of herself online.

In June 2024, Sophie sent fans into a frenzy after discovering a "life changing" phone hack – using Siri to name a song by just it's lyrics.
