Love Island's Amelia Marni reveals how she's feeling following her split from Josh Moss – and if she's dating again

Love Island Australia star Amelia Marni announced that she and Josh Moss had split after four years together in May.

And on Tuesday, the influencer confirmed she's feeling happier than ever post break-up, and even hinted she's dating again during a candid Instagram Q&A.

After a fan asked how she was doing, Amelia responded: "I've been doing really well. It has been months now. Everyone is different and I always get asked how I'm OK.

"I have had break-ups in the past that literally took over my whole body, and I was so depressed with the absence of that person. It was like I craved them and was addicted to them.

"There were points in my past relo (especially at the start) where the thought of breaking up was catastrophic, but towards the end I came at peace with it and knew it was the best thing."

Amelia added that now she is the "happiest and most emotionally stable" that she has felt in years.

"I have really realised how freeing it is [to] not feel anything or be bothered by certain situations," she continued.

"It's not that I am emotionally numb right now, but I don't get so distraught by certain situations as if it's the end of the world...

"What I'm trying to say is... I now really choose my battles, realise how resilient I can be and life is too special and short to stay in situations that aren't right (work, relationship, anything)."

When asked if she has been with anyone since the split, she added: "I wasn't craving a [relationship] and had the intention of being alone for a while! But I also think if something special comes around not to let it go..."

Another fan asked whether she was now dating again, to which she cryptically responded: "He he he....."

It seems Amelia is feeling better than ever after her break-up, and even gave some advice to anyone going through something similar.

"Look back to your happiness before them and how capable you were prior to meeting them, and remind yourself you're now wiser, older, more experienced, smarter, resilient etc than you were before," she said.

"You were fine before them so you can definitely get back to that place and even better! Also take this break-up as a lesson of growth and strength and be proud of yourself."

Amelia and Josh, who met on Season 1 of Love Island Australia in 2018, announced their split back in May.

They both posted messages to Instagram to confirm the shock news.

"Josh and I have decided to split," Amelia's message began.

"This was the most heartbreaking and respectful breakup. After almost four years of being together we decided to go our separate ways."

Amelia added she wasn't sure if the news "came as a shock" to people, noting that the couple portrayed a happy and healthy relationship.

She got candid about their relationship and said while for the most part it was a positive one, there were "a lot of challenging moments" the couple never shared.

"No relationship is perfect but there are some parts you have to see eye-to-eye," she continued.

"Josh and I are on incredible terms (for a breakup) and we want the happiest life for one another. Sadly right now we have to find happiness separately. Of course I love Josh and will miss our crazy special life together bur right now this is the best for both of us."

Josh referred to the break up as "one of the hardest and most heartbreaking decisions we've ever had to make."

"I still do love Amelia and she holds a special place in my heart," he wrote.

"The moment we shared together is something I'll never forget. We are on really good terms and both wish nothing but the best for each other."
