Love Island star Amelia Marni reveals she and Josh Moss tried counselling before their breakup
Love Island's Amelia Marni got candid about the reasons behind her and Josh Moss' breakup.
The couple – who met on Season 1 of Love Island Australia in 2018 – called time on their four-year relationship in May, and the news came as a shock to many of their fans.
In a YouTube Q&A, Amelia fought back tears as she revealed that she and Josh tried counselling before she ultimately "chose herself over love".

Amelia took the opportunity to clarify some things about their breakup that Josh had spoken about on his podcast The Handbags.

On the podcast Josh said it was "really tough" to hear that Amelia "didn't know if she was in love with him".
"I know he did a podcast and there were some things said that didn't come out of my mouth," Amelia told fans.
"I would never tell anyone, 'I'm not in love with you anymore.' And I was still in love with Josh when we broke up, and it was a very hard decision.
"That was misunderstood and I never said that."

The 26-year-old went on to explain that while she was mentally checked out of the relationship for months, emotionally she was still in love with him.
Amelia also quashed any rumours of cheating during her and Josh's relationship.
"There was no cheating," she confirmed.
Amelia put their breakup down to the two being "very different people".
"There were parts of me and Josh that just didn't mesh."

The TV star explained that during their relationship, people would tell her that Josh was out of her league, so she put Josh on "such a high pedestal".
She said it became "such a big issue early on" and because of it she didn't know her worth and would let things in their relationship slide.
Amelia surprised herself as she became teary talking about their relationship breakdown.
"I actually am shocked that I'm crying. I haven't cried like since we broke up, that was the last time I cried which was like two months ago."

She assured fans that she and Josh tried everything to save their relationship but there were just some differences that couldn't be reconciled.
"You know we got a counseller involved and did all these things and there were just some things that weren't clicking."
Despite the breakup, Amelia still spoke very highly of her ex-boyfriend Josh.
"Overall, he's an amazing person. He has so many qualities, he's really caring, he's easy going," she said.
