Amber and Greg are crowned the winners of Love Island UK 2019

Amber and Greg have been crowned the winners of Love Island UK 2019 as the eight-week season – filled with love triangles, drama and games – concluded. The win was based off a final public vote, which saw the popular couple emerge on top when voting closed.

In the final twist, Greg randomly selected the envelope containing £50,000 ($88,000) meaning it was his decision whether to keep the money or split it with Amber. In the end he chose to split the winnings, meaning the couple took home £25,000 ($44,000) each.

"I knew he was gonna share it," said Amber with a smile on her face.

The result came as a surprise, with many expecting the loved-up Molly-Mae and Tommy to take the win. However, the runners-up were still content with the result.

"I'm so happy for them [Amber and Greg], honestly," said Molly-Mae.

Fellow finalists Ovie and India placed third, and the controversial Curtis and Maura fourth. Watch the series summary below:
