Watch: Zane shocks the Villa by sticking with Kaylah after cracking on with Sophie at Hotel Amor

The Superfans sure did make a spicy decision when they coupled up Sophie and Zane for Love Island Australia's newest twist, Hotel Amor.

The duo, who had history before the Villa, definitely explored their connection during the night away – and it immediately caused chaos when everyone came back together.

The pairs had to choose whether they wanted to stay in a couple with their Hotel Amor roomie, or check out of the partnership and twist to someone else.

Sophie was completely blindsided when Zane stood up to twist and couple up with Kaylah again, despite admitting he did not feel a spark with her.

This came as a massive surprise to Sophie, who then chose to twist to couple up with Dylan.

After the blindside, Sophie told Em and Mimi what happened between them at Hotel Amor – leaving the girls fuming.

"He's a f--king player... he told me he will never go back to Kaylah because he's done with her," Sophie explained.

If there was a silver lining, it was that him standing up to twist was the final nail in the coffin of their spark.

"That's all I need to know," she said.

Zane opened up to Kaylah about how he did not feel a connection with her and admitted that he told Sophie he was "leaning more to her".

But he chose to twist because he wanted to talk to her before making the decision.

"I owed you a conversation before I did that and I still don't even know if I have anything with Sophie," he said.

They agreed to be just friends – but elsewhere, friendship was the last thing on Sophie's minds.

Later in the night, Sophie did not hold back when she confronted Zane about his actions, confirming she was "done".

Zane wasn't exactly upset by this though, as he said that he would not see any future with Sophie even if Dylan was not in the picture.

"I'm blown away every single time. How many times do I need to be disappointed in him to realise that he's just a boy," she reflected in the Beach Hut.

Sophie and Zane have finally, officially, closed the book on this very messy chapter – but is it too late? Can Sophie win back Dylan's trust and continue building their connection?
