Watch: Dylan asks Sophie if she still has feelings for Zane after their pre-filming fling on Love Island Australia 2024

This season of Love Island Australia has so many twists and turns we can barely keep up – nor can we stop watching.

Things got messier during Monday night's episode, as Dylan and Sophie – who have had one of the strongest connections in recent days – hit a roadblock in their romance.

It all started before filming even commenced.

If you recall, before entering the Spanish Villa Sophie had enjoyed a fling with fellow Islander Zane... who is currently Coupled Up with Kaylah.

On Monday's ep, Dylan was a little cold towards Sophie as he feared she might still have feelings for Zane, so decided to ask her head-on.

"Do you think there's anything still there?" he said in a chat by the Firepit.

Sophie was stunned, in part because she thought Dylan had called her for a chat to end their romance.

"We do have a past, nothing serious though. We... it was very not serious," she responded. "I mean, he is very much into Kaylah and she's very much into him.

"When I came in and I was interested, I still couldn't be arsed when he was with Xanthe as I know how he is."

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Sophie breathed a sigh of relief.

"He has got nothing to worry about. That ship has well and truly sailed. I'm really relieved that was the problem – I thought the reason he was quiet was the complete opposite. I thought he wasn't into me, and worried that I'm into other guys!" she smiled.

Things can all change in the Villa, so we're happy these two love birds are back on track.

But who knows what Hotel Amor will bring... we can't wait.
