'My biggest regret': Tyra comes close to tears over Kale's raw and honest declaration of love on Love Island Australia 2023

What a wild ride it's been for Kale and Tyra.

The duo were attracted to each other when they first met, but both decided to continue on in separate romances.

But when neither worked out, a twist of fate meant that Tyra was given the opportunity to Couple Up with Kale - and it's one she grabbed with both hands.

During their emotional declaration of love during Monday's Grand Finale, the duo looked back on their epic love story.

"I remember the moment I saw you when I first walked into the Villa. Your big green eyes staring back at me, with a huge smile," Kale recalled.

"Our first date was incredible, and I remember everything you said – even laughing after you told me how smoking hot I am.

"My biggest regret on my way out was not pursuing things with you in the beginning. I was so lucky to have been given another chance to come back and tell you how I felt."

He said he was over the moon when Tyra's face lit up at the prospect of them being together, and he knew he'd made the right call.

"Today is our last day here, and for all the memories and quality time spent, thank you. Tyra Johannes, I love you," he said.

Tyra's declaration was equally as beautiful, as she looked forward at their future together.
