Exclusive: Nakia tells the story of how she almost lost her finger on Love Island Australia 2023
With hours to pass in the Love Island Australia Villa in Spain, the Islanders often swap stories from their past.
Nakia told the story of how she had "the end of [her] finger chopped off".

Nakia, who grew up on a farm, explained she was driving on the family property in a buggy with her dad.
"On the side of [the buggy] it has two nets for doors," she said.
"We were driving it, and my dad was like 'the axel-baring is a bit off, so don't do this...'"
Nakia explained that her dad proceeded to oversteer the buggy to the left, following that it toppled over.

"It rolled and rolled and rolled," Nakia continued.

Nakia said she underwent surgery to have her finger reconstructed but was conscious the entire time.
"I was shaking from fear," she said.
"I was blue."
