Hamish Blake unveils epic futuristic cake he made for son Sonny's 11th birthday
If anyone is in need of a nap it's LEGO® Masters host Hamish Blake, who has just pulled an all-nighter baking an elaborate birthday cake for his son Sonny's 11th birthday.
It's all part of a long-standing family tradition where the TV personality makes "whatever cake his children choose".
Considering this has been going on for years now, it's no surprise that fans also wait eagerly for the big 'cake night' every year.

Hamish previously explained exactly what Sonny had requested. This was the brief: "It's him, in futuristic armour, and weapons, with a sword, that moves and is to 'slice through a giant number 11'."
Sounds easy enough, right?

Hamish began the big build on Friday night at around 8pm, and a glass of single malt whisky was mandatory for the occassion.
"Do you like cakes? Great, me too! Are you ready to make an incredible birthday cake? Me neither!" Hamish addressed fans following along at home.
With a sketch drawn and LEGO skelton already engineered (with the help of co-host Brickman) for the moving parts of the cake, Hamish was all ready to go!

It was a very long night that saw Hamish sculpting fondant, using angle grinders and superglue.
Yep, remember this isn't just any old cake!
The cake making took Hamish into the wee hours of the morning but after days of planning and hours of blood, sweat, tears and scotch the dad proudly unveiled the finished product.
We have to say we're pretty impressed!

"Happy birthday to my favourite guy in the world. Forever, Dad," Hamish captioned a photo of the finished cake.
