Watch: Brickman's emotional announcement as first team of the year is eliminated: 'It hurts'
It's always tough being the first team to leave.
And just as tough for judge Ryan 'Brickman' McNaught to make the call on who would be eliminated on LEGO® Masters: Grand Masters of the Galaxy.
This year welcomed 10 teams from across the globe, who each earned their chance to win the coveted Grand Masters title – and a life-changing $100,000 in prize money.
After three intense challenges, one team would be flying home.

It was an emotional moment as Brickman revealed the first team to be eliminated.
And it was down to one "little detail" that cost the team everything.

The teams undertook the Is It Fake? challenge, a classic LEGO replica round.

They were judged on how identical their build was to the original item, before special guest Sophie Monk attempted to spot them out in a fake restaurant setting.
The elimination was down to two teams: Team Canada or USA.
"We're about to loose our first team from Grand Masters of the Galaxy," Hamish announced.
Brickman took a deep breath, his voice was shaky: "The team that would be going through to our next build is... "

This meant Paul and Nealita from Team USA would be eliminated.

Paul and Nealita chose to replicate a large, black cabinet from the Chinese restaurant scene set up in the studio and Brickman gave them props for tackling such a big build.
But it was all about "the little details" in the judge's eyes.
"They're the things that make your build exceptional and getting those hinges and latches right, that is where you struggled today."
Paul and Nealita felt proud of what they had achieved.
"We really pushed ourselves and this is probably like one of the biggest things that we've actually built together," said Nealita.
"It hurts a little bit but it's our best build of the season by far," Paul added.
