Kate Langbroek reveals what surprised her the most about My Mum Your Dad ahead of the emotional finale
Over the last few weeks, 13 single parents have put it all on the line to find love again – and their kids have witnessed it all.
My Mum Your Dad host Kate Langbroek spoke to Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Sylvia Jeffreys to reveal what we can expect ahead of the emotional season finale on Monday night.

"You can see the magic of people who are falling in love," Kate teased.
"It's so extraordinary, let's just see if that continues through to tonight."

She remained tightlipped on which couples – if any – stay together during the interview, which you watch in the video at the top of this article.
As the season comes to a head, the kids will reveal whether or not they approve of their parents' relationship in an official Blessing Ceremony.
And hearts hang in the balance as the parents put their love lives solely in their children's hands.
While Kate didn't give away any secrets she did reveal that the show surprised her in more ways than one.
"At some point, like a week into the shoot, I did call my husband and said, 'Oh my god darling it works,'" Kate recalled.

David and Sylvia also expressed their surprise about the direction the show has taken.
"This is the beautiful thing about the show, it starts out with this kind of voyeuristic fly-on-the-wall perspective, to the kids becoming really emotionally invested," Sylvia said.
"You think it's going to be cringey but it's not," David added.

Kate put that all down to the kids' "high emotional IQ" and their genuine care for their parents' happiness.
"Them [the kids] really leaning into the experience has been so beautiful and so uplifting," Kate said.
