Qantas drops surprise sale with over a million seats discounted across domestic network

It's that time of year where we're fully entrenched in winter, and our social media feeds are full of people frolicking about in the European sun.

If you're feeling like it's definitely time for a holiday, now's the time to book.

Qantas has just launched a surprise sale across its entire domestic network - but you only have 72 hours to snap up a deal.

Over one million seats to 60 destinations across Australia are included in the sale, with flights starting at just $109 one-way.

Don't worry about any hidden fees: Qantas fares include checked baggage, complimentary food and beverages, free Wi-Fi on domestic aircraft, and seat selection.

Over 100 routes are included in the three-day sale, with more than 40 routes on sale for under $160 one way, including Ballina to Sydney ($109), Gold Coast to Sydney ($119) and Launceston to Melbourne ($119).

For anyone who wants to chase the sun, destinations in the sale include Hamilton Island, Cairns, Alice Springs, and Townsville.

Tropical North Queensland is one of the best places in Australia to beat the winter chill, where you can snorkel, hike, or lounge on the beach to your heart's content.
