Cruise firm Virgin Voyages launches 'work from helm' Europe package
Working from home still remains part of many employees lives.
But how about 'working from helm' - of a ship that is.
(The helm is the part which steers the ship for those not across their shipping terms.)
Virgin Voyages has launched a special package for those who can't take time off work but still want to enjoy a Euro summer.

It is offering remote workers a month-long cruise with their Scarlet Summer Season Pass.
From June to September 2024, the adults-only cruise line says it is "inviting sailors on a workcation adventure through the vibrant coastal towns of southern Europe."
It's fitting that company owner tycoon Richard Branson says he started his company Virgin from a houseboat.
The deal includes four back-to-back voyages in a Central Sea Terrace cabin for two.

The cruises take in top spots like Cannes, Rome, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and Corsica.
Benefits include super fast WIFI, coffee credits, free laundry and access to the private Richard's Rooftop, which hands out free happy hour Champagne.
However it costs $15,000 for two, if you want to splash out.

We worked from bed - and ordered the ShipEats room service which delivers an endless supply of snacks and drinks for a small delivery fee.
We also tried logging on in the coffee shop- and while laying in the cool balcony hammocks.

Thanks to the fast internet it was perfectly doable.
Just make sure you remember to bring US-style adapter plugs as that's what this and many other ships have.
And probably check with your boss first.
Meanwhile, Virgin Voyages won't bring its ship Resilient Lady back to Australia for the 2024-25 summer cruise season.
It is blaming the conflict around the Red Sea - which it would have to sail through to get to Australia after its summer season in the Med - for the cancellations.
