Common travel item flight attendant 'would never' pack in carry on
Get on most flights these days and you'll probably spot at least a few of these being used by passengers.
A neck pillow is a popular item travellers bring with them in their carry on to help get comfortable onboard - especially for long-haul flights.
But a flight attendant has revealed she "would never" pack one.

Former cabin crew member for AirBaltic, Kristine Eksteine-Nizka explained that despite the popularity of neck pillows, they're something to leave at home.
"One thing that I've seen a lot of travellers recommend, but I, as an ex-flight attendant, would never pack, is a travel pillow," she told Apartment Therapy.

"They're really bulky and not comfortable at all," she added.
Instead, the airline worker recommended packing a shawl to roll up as a headrest and use as a wrap at your destination instead of dragging around an oddly shaped pillow.

It comes after a pilot revealed exactly the kind of suitcase he prefers to travel with.
Virgin Australia Captain Adam Barr told 9Travel he uses a suitcase with a hard case.
"Hard cases are the best, especially if you carry more fragile things," he said.
The pilot was also a big fan of packing cubes, saying that was "the best packing tip I ever received".
As for what he never travels without, Adam said he always has noise-cancellinig headphones with him.
