Tourists find Buckingham Palace so 'ugly' and 'boring' that they threaten to complain to King Charles
Buckingham Palace is one of those must-see places for first-time tourists to London.
Most people just pose in front of the recognisable gilded gates for a photo before heading to St James' Park.
But apparently, it's just not impressive enough.
The landmark has been slammed in TripAdvisor reviews, with people calling it "lame", "ugly" and "boring".

"We only visited from the outside and I'm not going to lie, it was pretty lame and kind of ugly," one review reads.
"It does not look like a palace at all. There are more beautiful-looking buildings around London that look more like a palace than this place."
It is possible to take tours inside the palace, if you book well enough in advance.
But according to reviews, that's also just as lacking.
"All those security guards spoiled the entire experience for me and my parents!," one person wrote, complaining about not being allowed to wear backpacks while inside.
"They tortured me to hell and spoiled my entire tour experience. I will complain to King Charles!"

Another reviewer griped about the lack of public toilet facilities inside the palace, which does make us wonder about the difficulties of adding plumbing to a 300-year-old building.
Even those who live in London aren't impressed by the palace. "Boring. Nothing happens there! Just an old, ugly building," a local Londoner wrote, adding that it was so crowded considering the King wasn't even there.
"It was too crowded, making it very hard to get good pictures. I thought it was very boring," another review read.
However, not every review was a complaint. One traveller raved about the tour he took, despite the high price of £90 ($173 AUD).
"Since the King was out of town, this tour included intimate visits to state rooms, the throne room, the royal gallery, and amazing views of the initial set-up for garden party season," they wrote.

Built in 1703, Buckingham Palace has been the home for British Royals since 1761, when it was bought by George III.
It draws millions of tourists per year, particularly for the Changing Of The Guard, a ceremony held in the forecourt daily from April to July and every second day in the other months.
