The best hotels in Australia and around the world, according to people who have stayed there
An unlikely hotel has been named the Australia's best, according to a reviews website.
Quest Orange, in the NSW town famous for wine, scooped the title in website TripAdvisor's 2025 Travellers' Choice Awards as identified through reviews left on the site.
It's dubbed a "brand new hotel with an excellent location", which "provides a perfect balance of comfort and style."

The apartment-style accommodation beat much more expensive hotels to the title based on the "quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings on TripAdvisor from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024," the website said.
To stay at the hotel next month starts at a little over $200 according to the website.
The company has 160 locations, which are franchisees around the country, in New Zealand and Fiji.

In second place was the chic MACq 01 Hotel in Hobart, Tasmania.
Third was the The Reef House Boutique Hotel & Spa in Palm Cove, Far North Queensland.
Quest South Perth Foreshore came fourth, followed by Mount Lofty House & Estate Adelaide Hills.

That was also named the Best Luxury Hotel in Australia.
Emporium Hotel South Bank in Brisbane followed in that category, with The Henry Jones Art Hotel in Hobart, The Langham in Sydney and The Reef House Boutique Hotel & Spa making up the top five.
In another category, the Best B&B/Inns in Australia, Hobart's Grand Vue Private Hotel came out on top.
As for the Best Small and Boutique place to stay in the nation, head to Sequoia Lodge in the Adelaide Hills.

Best hotels in the world for 2025
Overall, the Best of the Best Hotels winner was Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya, Mexico.
It's "a grand escape full of both relaxation and adventure", according to the website.
No Aussie hotels made the overall top 25 list.
In second place was Grandvrio Ocean Resort Danang in Vietnam. Gokulam Grand Turtle on the beach in India was next.

Meanwhile a unique New Zealand glamping escape has been named as one of the world's most unforgettable stays.
In the newly introduced Top 10 One-of-a-Kind Hotels subcategory, number eight went to a glamping spot in Kurow, called Valley Views Glamping.
Owner Amber Tyrell, told Stuff Travel they were "absolutely thrilled and deeply honoured" to be recognised.
