Australia's best winery for 2025 has been crowned
Wine is one of Australia's most famous exports - and a visit to a winery is a popular way to spend an afternoon on holiday or a weekend break.
And while there are arguably no bad places to go when wine is involved, the very best have been ranked by experts.
The Real Review has announced its national Top Wineries of Australia rankings for 2025.

A Victorian winery, Geelong's Wine by Farr won the crown. The family-owned spot has been concocting Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Shiraz since 1994.
It doesn't have a cellar door but it does have open days when you can see the place it all happens.

Next on the list was Yarra Yering in Victoria's Yarra Valley. It dates back to 1969 - and you can book tastings to sample the eight wines they produce.
Two more Yarra Valley wineries came third and fourth. They were Levantine Hill - which has a restaurant and offers wine tasting - and Giant Steps, which has a tasting room.

Rounding out the top five was Wynn's Coonawarra Estate in South Australia. You can visit the cellar door to try wines with a cheese plate.
South Australia dominated the list, taking 36 per cent of the top 414 wineries ranked.
The Aussie state is famous for the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills wine areas, which are both an easy drive from Adelaide.

Other places to head to if you want to try some of the best wines in the country include House of Arras in Tasmania. It scooped sparkling wine of the year for its acclaimed tipple.

The best rose wine winner, S.C. Pannell, also welcomes visitors to the cellar door.

The Hunter Valley near Newcastle won 25 of 57 NSW titles.
The Barossa in South Australia took the lead in single regions as well, boasting 44 wineries, or 11 per cent of the total.
If you want to try the best wines, you don't need to venture all the way to the vineyard.
The Real Review's Top Wineries of Australia 2025 events come to Sydney and Melbourne in August.
