An Australian previously reported missing following devastating flash floods across Nepal and Tibet has been found safe.

The good news has come more than a week after a fallen glacier is believed to have triggered deadly floods on the Tibet border

Michael Keats, a hiker from NSW, is believed to have been returning from a journey to Mount Kailash in Tibet when the floods struck.

The Queensland woman was crossing the border between Nepal and Tibet when the catastrophic flood hit.

There are fears of a second flood disaster following hard on the heels of the first.

The Prince and Princess of Wales joined a chorus of royals who issued statements following the natural disaster.
