Eighth Australian found safe following Nepal-Tibet flash floods
An Australian previously reported missing following devastating flash floods across Nepal and Tibet has been found safe, almost two weeks after the disaster struck.
The individual is the eighth Australian located alive since the destructive flash floods.

Thirty-five Australian nationals remain unaccounted for.
It is understood that all but one of the missing Australians were participating in the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage.
Most were last seen near the Gyirong border crossing north of Kathmandu, or in isolated remote areas where communication infrastructure and power grids were wiped out.
The August 26 disaster, triggered by a massive glacier collapse, according to Nepal’s disaster management agency, has claimed at least 1399 lives so far, with more than 5400 people still missing across Nepal and Tibet.
Michael Keats, a hiker from Mollymook on the NSW South Coast, was the first Australian confirmed killed in the disaster.
He was believed to have been returning from a journey to Mount Kailash in Tibet when the floods struck.
Rescue operations have increasingly zeroed in on 12 hydropower projects across Nepal, where authorities estimate 900 workers are missing and roughly 500 remain trapped inside flooded tunnels.
