Western Force prop Tom Robertson has revealed the hilarious circumstances behind a "mistake" he made on tour in Argentina with the Wallabies which led to a pointed stare from coach Joe Schmidt.

While Robertson didn't play against Argentina in 2024, the 24-capped Wallaby did find a way to confuse his coach after mishap off the field.

After believing he had a day off and one day to travel to Uruguay from Argentina, the prop discovered he'd made one crucial error.

"That was a bit of a mistake on my behalf. I was thinking day off Wednesday, went and booked 12 of the boys a ticket to go to Uruguay and back and then forgot to look at the schedule and it turns out we actually had meetings that night," he said on Stan Sport's Between Two Posts Extra.

"I had to go and cancel in Spanish 12 tickets from Buenos Aires to Uruguay while Joe Schmidt is looking at me in the background.

"I was completely bricking it, eventually got the refund, not sure how but it was a bit of disaster."

Robertson is currently in hot form for the Western Force after scoring one of the all-time tries against the Queensland Reds on the weekend.

The 30-year-old broke the line and nearly ran half the field before sliding over before the line and reaching it despite Reds defenders all over him.

Robertson implied at no stage he thought he was going to cross for a try.

"I thought someone was always going to chop my legs from behind but managed to slide in from about five metres away," he said.

"Thanks to the Suncorp weather it was brilliant that it got me the try in the end."

Unfortunately for Robertson, the Reds won 28-24 in the end.
