The Mole's Team of the Week: Mark Nawaqanitawase 'tragedy' laid bare after blistering four-try performance
The Mole's Team of the Week
In the penultimate round of the regular season, a stack of individuals stood above with some epic performances.
The desperate Roosters put on 40 points against the premiership favourites, with two young guns starring in the win.
Elsewhere, the continued revival of a Canberra star was on full display, while an ageing champion wound back the clock.
Check out The Mole's Team of the Week for round 26.
1. Isaiah Iongi (Eels)
Scored two superb tries on Friday night in Auckland, as well as a line break and 185 run metres. Enjoying a great rookie season.
2. Mark Nawaqanitawase (Roosters)
Continued his amazing season with four tries against the Storm on Friday night.
A tragedy that he is ineligible for rookie of the year.
3. Robert Toia (Roosters)
The bloke who probably WILL get rookie of the year, set up two of Marky Mark's four tries and scored one himself in a polished display.
4. Simi Sasagi (Raiders)
A late inclusion in the team, he led the Raiders in line breaks and scored a vital try as the Green Machine sealed the minor premiership by beating the Tigers.
5. Ronaldo Mulitalo (Sharks)
Thrilled the Shark Park crowd with a brilliant hat trick against the tackle-shy Knights.
Looks primed for the finals.
6. Kodi Nikorima (Dolphins)
The underrated playmaker produced another superb display in attack, setting up two tries and scoring one himself in the defeat of the Titans.
7. Daly Cherry-Evans (Sea Eagles)
Last week he was great, this week he was better with a try and FIVE try assists in the win over the Dragons.
The Roosters suddenly look like they have pulled off a masterstroke by signing him!
8. Addin Fonua-Blake (Sharks)
With his team down 10-0 against the Knights, the wrecking ball powered over the tryline to start Cronulla's comeback and was solid throughout.
9. Jeremy Marshall-King (Dolphins)
Topped his team's tackle count and, as always, a threat at dummyhalf in Sunday's win over the Titans.
