The Jillaroos and potentially the Broncos have copped a cruel injury blow after Julia Robinson injured her wrist against England in the World Cup.

During the match at HBF Park, Robinson left the field after 20 minutes having come out of a tackle clutching at her arm.

The centre immediately ran towards the sideline and went up the tunnel, ruling her out for the match.

Robinson was then taken to hospital for further assessment after reports of a fractured wrist.

“She’s in good spirits at least, I heard her laughing in there,” Jillaroos coach Jess Skinner told Seven at half-time.

The Aussies had no problems adjusting with Tiana Penitani Gray switching from second row to centre.

“Well I guess the Jillaroos are really lucky. They’ve got so many players that can cover so many positions,” injured Jillaroo Yasmin Meakes said.

“I knew (it was bad) as soon as Julia stayed down, she’s so strong. Something was seriously wrong. But again, that’s the beauty of the Jillaroos. Tiana Penitani was playing back row and has just moved over to the centre so easily.”

The Jillaroos finished the match 78-0 winners, making for a similar smashing from the last time both sides met in Las Vegas last year when it was 90-4.

Jaime Chapman had a double in the first five minutes which set the standard before Jocelyn Kelleher crossed as well as Robinson.

Kelleher had her second not long after Robinson’s departure, and by half-time it was 36-0 with Isabelle Kelly and Abbi Church also scoring.

In the second half, the score increased dramatically, as Tarryn Aiken, Olivia Kernick, Quincy Dodd, Church, Mackenzie Weale, Penitani Gray, Kelly and Shaylee Bent all scored.

The lead could’ve been even greater if Kelleher converted all tries, having finished with nine from 15. Kernick finished player of the match.
