The Mole's round 19 Team of the Week: Nicho Hynes leaves Origin audition too late
Hynes stands up
Nicho Hynes delivered a dominant performance in the Sharks' must-win game against the Dolphins, which would have had Origin selectors blinking twice.
Here is the Mole's round 19 Team of the Week.
1. James Tedesco (Roosters)
A try assist, nearly 200 run metres and three line break assists against the Dragons - supporting claims he should have been Blues Origin fullback. What have the selectors been watching?
2. Dom Young (Knights)
A slick performance by this enigmatic flanker in a well-beaten team against the Storm, scoring two tries and setting up a third.
3. Izack Tago (Panthers)
Scored a slick solo try and set one up as the premiers scored a comfortable win over the Eels in the battle for the west.
4. Kotoni Staggs (Broncos)
One of the hardest running players in the NRL on his day, he steamrolled the Titans with his pace and power.
5. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (Warriors)
Too quick and elusive for the Tigers in Auckland, scoring a try, running for over 270 metres and making a line break.
6. Jahrome Hughes (Storm)
Heading for back-to-back Dally M Medals, laying on four tries as well as kicking a 40/20 in the comeback win over the Knights.
7. Nicho Hynes (Sharks)
Did it all in the must-win game against the Dolphins - two tries, one try assist, four goals, two line breaks. If there were an Origin IV, he'd be there!
8. Naufahu Whyte (Roosters)
One of the game's brightest young props, he led the way up front as the Roosters overcame a stubborn Dragons outfit.
9. Blayke Brailey (Sharks)
Topped his team's tackle count in the vital win over the Dolphins on Friday night and was also very crafty out of dummy half.
