The Mole's Team of the Week: Forgotten man's reminder to Blues coach in race against teammate
Forgotten Blue's timely reminder
Veteran winger Josh Addo-Carr issued a reminder to new Blues coach Laurie Daley he can still match it with the young bucks in the NRL.
Daley is on the lookout for a new Origin winger with Addo-Carr's Eels teammate Zac Lomax still sidelined.
A strong performance in a losing side may just have caught the attention of Daley as he prepares to name his squad for game one in a week's time.
This is who made The Mole's NRL Team of the Week for round 10.
1. Latrell Mitchell (Rabbitohs)
Played possibly his best ever game for Souths in the upset of the Broncos, scoring tries, saving tries, creating tries and kicking THAT booming field goal.
Should he be fullback for NSW? Honourable mention: Ryan Papenhuyzen.
2. Josh Addo-Carr (Eels)
Back to his best in an ordinary Parra side, making three line breaks and running for a game-high 240 metres.
3. Herbie Farnworth (Dolphins)
The difference between two poor sides on Thursday night, with his solo try edging out the Eels. Probably the best centre in the world in 2025.
4. Stephen Crichton (Bulldogs)
Spurred Canterbury's remarkable win from 20-0 down in Canberra with a dynamic second half. Scored a try, set up two more and made three line breaks.
5. Jaxon Purdue (Cowboys)
Played centre in the epic 30-all draw with the Panthers but can't be left out after running for nearly 200 metres and having a try assist and two line break assists.
6. Blaize Talagi (Panthers)
Just edges out AJ Brimson (Titans) and Cameron Munster (Storm) with an amazing display in the 30-all draw with the Cowboys. Set up four of his team's five tries and scored the other. Came of age in Townsville.
7. Luke Metcalf (Warriors)
Started the scoring with a solo try and finished it with the field goal that gave his team a one-point win over the Dragons. Becoming an elite NRL halfback in quick time.
8. Keaon Koloamatangi (Rabbitohs)
Moved from second row to prop, he dominated the Broncos' big boppers with nearly 200 run metres in heavy conditions.
9. Blayke Brailey (Sharks)
At his wily best from dummy-half in the win over the Sea Eagles as well as topping the tackle count.
