Dylan Edwards facing a month out as Origin III injury heroics revealed
Dylan Edwards won player of the match in the State of Origin decider effectively on one leg.
The Blues fullback played the second half with a torn posterior cruciate ligament, suffered shortly after players returned from the half time break.
He was tended to by a trainer, but stayed on the field and played out the match.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Edwards is expected to miss at least three weeks of footy for the Panthers.
Given Edwards still ran 95 metres from nine runs with three tackle busts in the second half, the injury seemed to have little if any impact.

Blues doctor Nathan Gibbs told the Herald the fact Edwards was able to stay on the park left him confident the injury was not as bad as it could be.
"Dylan injured his right knee early in the second half, he hit the turf and tore his PCL – but it was a great credit to him he was able to play on with it," Gibbs said.
"When you lose a back, it's hard to cover on the interchange bench. But he played extremely well.
"He was able to put the pain behind him and perform well. Some players can do it, but many can't.

"Normally it's a four to six-week injury. But the fact he was able to keep playing and finish the game, it might be two to three weeks [he is out]."
Edwards was not named to back up for the Panthers' clash with the Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. Daine Laurie was named at fullback.
The Panthers sit second on the NRL ladder, two wins behind the Storm. They're a win clear of the Roosters and Sharks, and two clear of the Bulldogs.
They face the Dolphins, Dragons, Knights, Eels and Storm in the next five weeks.
Edwards wasn't the only New South Welshman to pick up an injury in the clash, with halfback Mitchell Moses ruled out of the remainder of the NRL season with a torn biceps.
