Jaime Chapman on track for finals return as Titans' first half onslaught blitzes Parramatta

The Titans could be on the verge of receiving a major boost just ahead of finals after Jaime Chapman revealed she's likely to return for the final match of the season.

Chapman sat on the sidelines and watched her side win 26-10 against the Eels on the Gold Coast after an ankle injury in round six.

The Origin star has now missed the last three matches and is likely to miss another before lining up against the Raiders on September 13.

"I've recovered really well ... recovery's looking promising, so I'm excited to get back out there," she told Nine's coverage before confirming she'll be back in two weeks.

The Titans currently sit mid-table in sixth and were expected to make a statement against the ninth-placed Eels.

They did just that, racing out to an 18-0 lead after tries to Georgia Grey, Pheonix-Raine Hippi, Shaylee Bent and Taliah Fuimaono. Parramatta went into the sheds with momentum, though, when Martha Mataele crossed right on half-time.

Hippi's second try for the night, straight after the break, managed to stop that momentum, though.

Parramatta's Ryvrr-Lee Alo crossed for the final try, but there was no comeback in sight.

Next week, the Titans play the Knights, and the Eels are up against the Tigers.
