Gold Coast's finals hopes have copped a significant blow after Jaime Chapman limped off against the Roosters with an ankle injury.

One of the biggest stars in the NRLW competition, Chapman had her leg awkwardly caught in a tackle during the second half of her side's 24-8 loss on Sunday.

The speedster immediately clutched at her knee and ankle as opposition players called for the Titans trainers to attend to Chapman.

"She got squashed under this, it looks really uncomfortable," Ruan Sims said on Nine.

"She tried to skip out and just got caught underneath a couple of Roosters bodies.

"It looks like the left leg just got folded up underneath her."

Chapman stayed on the ground for an extended period before being assisted off by two of the Gold Coast trainers in a grim sight for the club.

The 23-year-old's injury was only the tip of the iceberg on a tough afternoon as the Roosters completed a clinical victory at Cbus Super Stadium.

Pauline Piliae-Rasabale opened the scoring for the hosts in the sixth minute but it was one-way traffic from there once Jessica Sergis put the Tricolours on the board.

Jocelyn Kelleher moved atop the all-time pointscoring list in NRLW history with a try of her own, surpassing Raiders captain Zahara Temara.

Phoenix-Raine Hippi scored a consolation try on debut for the Titans right after the hour mark, but the result was beyond question at that stage.

"I have been impressed by her all day," Sims said on commentary.

The win sees the Roosters stay on top of the ladder after round six, while the Titans will drop to ninth on for-and-against.
