It's all over!
Higgins crosses for a late consolation try, catching her rivals napping from a penalty.
It doesn't bring a halt to the Roosters celebrations however, with the star-studded side into the NRLW grand final next weekend.
"It still hasn't sunk in yet," Sam Bremner told Nine post-game.
Field-goal practice

'Hospital pass' ends Knights hopes
Knights get another chance in good-ball territory, but Elliott comes up with a massive hit to force an error and this one is all-but over now.
"That was a good old-fashioned hospital pass," Andrew Johns said on Nine.
An error from Newcastle in their own end leads to a bit of a melee between the sides.
Knights keep faint hopes alive
Upton throws a horrible pass over the sideline, but they challenge the decision.

Kelly put on ice
Abigail Roche palms off Parker with a huge stiff-arm to get her side into enemy territory.
Kelly leaves the field for an early shower with the Roosters closing in on the win.
Time running out for Knights
Newcastle's field position fails to deliver much-needed points, with Southwell's grubber kick travelling over the dead-ball line.
"She got her angles all wrong there," Andrew Johns said on Nine.
Roosters almost make them pay through an Aiken grubber kick, but Willison grounds the ball in the in-goal and the Knights - barely - survive.
"It's grounded with downward pressure for sure," Johns said.
Fressard floored by monster hit
Albert-Jones makes a break but her attempted grubber kick is defused as Kelly comes up with a desperation moment in cover defence.
This is becoming an end-to-end battle and Fressard almost seals the deal for the Chooks, but she is taken into touch by the Knights defenders.
Fressard gets absolutely monstered in a tackle by Tinao.
"That was timing at its best," Andrew Johns said on Nine.
Jasmyne Fressard gets smashed in a big tackle. Nine
Knights barely hanging on
Kelleher nails a 40/20 to keep the Roosters in complete control.
Unfortunately, a poor pass from Aiken hits the deck and rolls over the sideline.
Newcastle are still in this, but hanging on by a thread with 25 minutes to go.
Bremner doing it all
Upton makes a break, but Bremner comes up with a try-saving tackle.
Albert-Jones tries to burrow her way over from dummy-half but is held up.
