'Tough to accept': Dally M winner Roger Tuivasa-Sheck's NRL career over after devastating injury

The NRL career of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is over after the Warriors confirmed a serious knee injury for the superstar.
Tuivasa-Sheck, who turns 33 next month, ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during Saturday's win over the Dragons, and will be sidelined for the rest of this season.
He is headed to Super League club Wakefield next year and so his time in the NRL is finished.

It brings an end to an illustrious career that included a Dally M Medal and an NRL premiership.
He debuted as a fleet-footed winger at the Roosters in 2012 and was in the team that won the grand final in 2013.

He played 84 games for the Chooks before heading to the Warriors in 2016 and becoming one of the best fullbacks in the competition.
Tuivasa-Sheck was adjudged the best player in the NRL in 2018 and won the Dally M Medal.
He quit the NRL to try his hand at rugby in 2022, but was back in rugby league two years later with his beloved Warriors.
He leaves the NRL with 242 games to his name, as well as 20 Tests for New Zealand and five for Samoa.
Tuivasa-Sheck confirmed his injury in an emotional Instagram post.
"That's my footy done this year," he wrote.

"ACL confirmed. Tough to accept, but the season goes on.
"We got something special going. Big love for all the messages."
The post was flooded with messages of support from fellow NRL players.
It's the second season-ending knee injury to hit the Warriors in as many weeks, after halfback Tanah Boyd went down the week prior.
It is the second year in a row the team has been hit by two ACL injuries to key players. Last year they lost Luke Metcalf and Mitchell Barnett mid-season.
The Warriors sit second on the NRL ladder with nine wins from 11 games this season.
