Dogs gun Jacob Preston suffers suspected broken arm in nasty collision
Bulldogs back-rower Jacob Preston suffered a suspected broken arm as Canterbury snagged a much-needed 30-20 win over Melbourne on Friday night.
The hearts of Bulldogs fans sunk 10 minutes into the clash when a trainer was seen assessing Preston's right arm, holding him around the forearm as he pressed his thumbs into him.
Preston, Canterbury's 2023 player of the year, went low to tackle Will Warbrick and his forearm clashed with the Melbourne winger's kneecap.

He played on after receiving medical attention but left the field barely a minute later.
"You know he's hurt when he's getting treatment from the trainer. This doesn't look good," Andrew Johns said on the Nine broadcast.

"It's quite tender, that forearm area," Cameron Smith said.
"There's not a lot of muscle or meat; it's pretty much bone."
Dogs coach Cameron Ciraldo conceded in his post-game press conference that Preston had likely broken his arm.
The Dogs have lost two players to injury this week in Preston and fullback Connor Tracey, who was sidelined for the Storm game with a hamstring issue.
Canterbury's two best second-rowers are now sidelined in Preston and Viliame Kikau, who suffered a pectoral injury in round eight.
