Jarome Luai has been charged by the match review committee after he was placed on report for high contact in the Tigers' 26-24 loss to the Warriors.

Early in the second half, Luai was the third man into the tackle on Edward Kosi and collected him high with a penalty immediately given.

The halfback was placed on report as he pleaded with the referee that he connected with his rival's shoulder.

Luai has since been hit with a grade two careless high tackle charge and will be banned for one game if he takes the early guilty plea.

The 28-year-old risks a two-game suspension if he fights it and loses.

Fox League caller Warren Smith made the point that in previous years that Luai could've been heading to the sheds for a break.

"There seems to be a winding back of the contact with the head in 2025 in what is now deemed a sin-bin offence," he said.

Kosi then left the field for an HIA but eventually returned.

The match started in chaos for the Tigers with Adam Doueihi ruled out during the warm up with a groin injury.

From kick off it was a try for try affair between both sides with the score 12-12 at the break. Fonua Pole and Starford To'a scored for the Tigers while Adam Pompey and Marata Niukore went over for the Warriors.

Warriors half Luke Metcalf gave his side the lead after the break until two tries for the Tigers made it look like they might run away with the result at 24-18.

However, Leka Halasima's four-pointer with 10 minutes remaining levelled proceedings.

Then moments later Alex Seyfarth was put on report for a shot on Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, with the Tigers back-rower fined $1000 for a grade one careless high tackle.
