Tigers bear their teeth
The Wests Tigers big name recruits made their mark in a sizzling performance against the Eels, but they were overshadowed by another mature performance by a player tipped to be one of the superstars of the next decade.
Despite the impressive win, there was only room for one Tigers player in The Mole's Team of the Week.
That honour went to Lachlan Galvin, who was superb in the club's first win of the season.

1. Kalyn Ponga (Knights)
Continued his brilliant early-season form with three try assists and three line breaks as Newcastle made it back-to-backs wins by out-classing the Dolphins.
2. Christian Tuipulotu (Dragons)
Despite another Dragons loss, was among the most dangerous players on the park, scoring a try, setting up another and making three line breaks in the defeat by Souths.
3. Bradman Best (Knights)
Is this bloke the scariest centre to mark in the NRL?
Tore the Dolphins apart with over 200 running metres and a determined try on Thursday night.
4. Mark Nawaqanitawase (Roosters)
The rugby convert showed some fantastic skills in the shock win over Penrith, scoring a try and having a hand in two others.
5. Samuel Stonestreet (Sharks)
Scored two tries and made more running metres than any player on the field in Cronulla's big win in Townsville.
6. Lachlan Galvin (Tigers)
Masterminded Sunday's impressive defeat of the Eels with a try and a hand in a couple of others. All class.
7. Luke Metcalf (Warriors)
Made amends for his shocker in Vegas with an amazing attacking game against Manly, scoring a try, laying on two more and having two line break assists.
8. Corey Horsburgh (Raiders)
Out-muscled and out-enthused the monster Broncos pack to put the Green Machine on course for their huge upset win on Saturday night.
9. Connor Watson (Roosters)
Led the Tri-colours to the upset of the year with two tries and a series of darting runs out of dummyhalf.
