Child killed in road accident after PM's XIII match in Papua New Guinea
The NRL has been rocked after it was revealed by The Sydney Morning Herald that a young child was killed in a road accident following the Prime Minister's XIII game in Port Moresby.
The child was reportedly chasing the Australian team bus and hit by the vehicle that carried the team's security detail, not the players' bus.
It is common for fans in Papua New Guinea to follow transport carrying players, such is the admiration for rugby league figures.
