A crazy final eight minutes led to a miracle victory for the Warriors against the Knights after a stunning piece of individual brilliance from second-rower Leka Halasima.

The first bit of mayhem came in the 72nd minute when Tanah Boyd missed a field goal in front at 14-14. Jack Cogger followed that up by hitting an 35 metre field goal which only just made the distance.

"The reaction from Jack Cogger after, I don't think he could be believe it," Andrew Johns said on Nine.

Boyd then hit the kick off out on the full.

"That's comical, like really? How do you get that wrong?," Johns said.

"... He's lucky it didn't end up on the trotting track."

With just under two minutes left, Boyd had another field goal attempt from 45 metres out and shanked it.

However, the Warriors challenged and it was ruled Jackson Hastings was not square at marker.

Boyd, who had a penalty goal in front from 35 metres out and in front, missed it.

"Are you serious?," Johns said.

Phil Gould added: "The footy gods looked after it" in reference to the penalty.

The Knights had a drop out from the 20m line and Boyd attempted another two-point field goal.

The attempt was charged down before Halasima evaded the Knights defence to run away and score a stunning individual winner.

"Can you believe what you have just seen?," caller Brenton Speed said.

Johns then said "is there a defibrillator here in Channel Nine? I can't believe it ... what an ending".

Halasima and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck mocked the Knights after it by doing a sleep celebration.

Ironically, Tanah Boyd kicked the conversion and the Warriors won 20-15.

Post-game, Johns described the last 45 seconds as "absolute chaos".

"Crazy, crazy, crazy finish," he added.

Darren Lockyer said it was "heart-breaking for Newcastle ... that was an extraordinary effort to score that try".
