'Scratching their hands': Phil Gould baffled as Aidan Sezer avoids penalty for crusher tackle on Jye Gray

Jye Gray was everywhere during South Sydney's loss to the Tigers.
He scored the first try for the Rabbitohs, but it came after he was involved in a suspect tackle from Aidan Sezer.
Gray went close to the line but was tackled by Sezer with the Tigers conceding a six again due to the half holding on too long.

Two tackles later, the fullback scored on the left hand side for South Sydney.

While being impressed by Taane Milne's assist to Gray, Phil Gould was focused on Sezer not being penalised for a crusher tackle in the lead up.
"That was the longest and most prolonged crusher tackle I've ever seen," he said on Nine.
"He must've held him there for 10 seconds."

"There's people that have been suspended, fined, charged for crusher tackles that will be scratching their heads at home going what the hell was that?"
Gray's try was the only one for South Sydney in the first half with the Tigers leading 16-4 at the break.
Eventually the Rabbitohs mounted a comeback however the winning try was cruelling denied by a Cameron Murray forward pass.
