Cameron Murray's forward pass denies Rabbitohs epic comeback against the Tigers

South Sydney winger Richard Kennar's season is over after a careless high tackle halted the Rabbitohs comeback campaign.
Kennar, who was given marching orders for a swinging arm on Luke Laulilii, was hit with a four match ban with the option of a three-match early plea deal.
With three rounds left in the regular season, the Rabbitohs current ladder position effectively rules the club out of contention to advance to the finals.

The Rabbitohs were denied a comeback victory over the Tigers after Cameron Murray threw a forward pass, ruling out Davvy Moale's winning try.
With a minute left in the match, the Tigers led 18-16 as South Sydney attacked the line.
Murray put Moale through a hole before he crashed over the line.
However, referee Belinda Sharpe ruled Murray's pass forward, bringing a cruel end to the game for the Rabbitohs.
Cameras then showed the Rabbitohs coaching box exploding with joy after Moale went over, but their reaction as they realised the pass had been called forward was classic.

Assistant coach Dave Furner threw his hands in the air but cracked a wry smile at the situation.
"I don't think they're slashing wrists ... they've had a good time," Phil Gould said on Nine.
Gould backed Sharpe's decision after replays of the pass.
"Crikey, it's a metre forward," Gould said.
"Tough call, good call," Billy Slater added.

The Tigers gave their home fans at Campbelltown Stadium plenty to cheer about in the first half, leading 16-4.
Charlie Staines, Luke Laulilii and Adam Doueihi were the tryscorers for the Tigers while Jye Gray went over for South Sydney.
Doueihi's try came in the 31st minute, immediately after Richie Kennar was sin binned for a high tackle.
In the second half, the Tigers only points came when Aidan Sezer kicked a penalty goal in the 49th minute.
The Rabbitohs comeback was on when Keaon Koloamatangi crashed over moments later to make it 18-10.
With three minutes to go, Damien Cook then kept his side in the hunt, beating three defenders as the Tigers held a 18-16 lead.
