Game Day RECAP 2023: Andrew Johns predicts Lachie Miller will return to NRL after strong performance; Phil Gould and Brad Fittler judge Lachie Miller sin bin as "harsh"

Lachie Miller is set to join Leeds Rhinos at the end of this season, but Andrew Johns believes he'll be back in the NRL after filling in brilliantly for Kalyn Ponga against the Dragons.

"He's a first grader, he was brought to the club with the experiment of Kalyn to go to five-eighth, he's an out and out first grader," he said on Nine's coverage.

"He's going to the English Super League with Leeds, he'll be back in the NRL after that.

"I think he's an NRL player, he's shown that tonight."

It's a clinical win for the Knights and they've got a home semi-final confirmed.

The prop was judged to have tackled Daniel Saifiti without the ball as he attempted to score off a grubber.

It's not a penalty try though because Ben Hunt and Tyrell Sloan were in the vicinity.

The fullback was judged to have committed a professional foul by tackling Talatau Amone without the ball.

The Knights challenged the decision but weren't successful.

NRL great Brad Fittler described the decision as "harsh" while Phil Gould wasn't impressed with the call.

"I don't think that's right, I think he was in the process of making the tackle," he said on Nine's coverage.

"Lachie Miller doesn't know if he's let this go or not, that's a legitimate tackle, absolutely legitimate, and it's not Lachie Miller's fault that they threw the ball back to him. That's wrong."

Mikaele Ravalawa has another try for the season and it's another sensational finish.

Referee Ben Cummins sent to try up to the Bunker as no try however the decision was reversed.

"He has such great balance in tight finishes," Phil Gould said on Nine's coverage.

The Knights start strong in the second half after a sensational ducking effort from Bradman Best.

In the lead up to the play, Best copped a poor ball and managed to duck under a big hit from Mikaele Ravalawa.

The Knights then kept the ball moving with Fa'amanu Brown going over.

NRL legend Phil Gould was critical of the Dragons defence.

"Some pretty feeble defence there," he said on Nine's coverage.

Brad Fittler doubled down: "Poor defence, really poor defence."
