The Dragons have completed a comeback victory in their clash with the Eels, surging to a 26-22 win.

Anthony Griffin's men will aim for consecutive wins when they meet the Rabbitohs in the annual Charity Shield match in Mudgee next week.

Former Panthers captain Greg Alexander has endorsed Tyrell Sloan as the Dragons' fullback for season 2022, as the teen phenom carves out a brilliant game against the Eels.

Sloan and 22-year-old speedster Cody Ramsey have shared the No.1 duties in their side's trial match at CommBank Stadium, with Sloan splitting his time between the right wing and fullback.

Alexander was asked by Fox League commentator after the Dragons' most recent try if Sloan would make his best Dragons side in the opening round of the season, after he threw a cut-out ball to set up Jonathon Reuben for a four-pointer on the left wing.

"He's in my side," Alexander said with assuredness.

"I'd pick him as the No.1.

"Cody Ramsey's a very good player, but Tyrell Sloan, I think, is the future of the club at No.1."

The Dragons have clinched the lead for the first time in the match, pushing ahead through a Jonathon Reuben try in the 64th minute.

The Fijian speedster hurtled onto a Tyrell Sloan cut-out ball and launched himself over the try line on the left wing, handing the Dragons a 26-22 lead.

Scores are level again, this time at 22-all in the 54th minute, after the Dragons' Bailey Antrobus crossed on the right wing.

Tyrell Sloan converted to force the deadlock.

A stellar cut-out ball from rising Eels playmaker Jake Arthur has seen Parramatta steal the lead back early in the second half.

The son of coach Brad Arthur hit left winger Solomone Naiduki with a two-man cut-out ball in the 45th minute and the speedster crossed untouched. Jordan Rankin converted to give the Eels a 22-16 buffer.

"What a ball there from Jakob Arthur," said former Panthers captain Greg Alexander on Fox League.

"Looked inside, looked outside ... Holds things beautifully, over the head there of Tyrell Sloan and Naiduki grabs a try."

The Eels had been leading 16-0 but the Dragons piled on three unanswered tries to lock scores up at 16-all shortly before half-time.

Parramatta back-rower Ryan Matterson has become the third player of the match to be sent to the sin bin after laying a high shot just before the 30-minute mark.

The Dragons' Tyrell Fuimaono and Tautau Moga have both been marched to the sin bin during the opening 15 minutes of the clash.

Fuimaono was sin-binned for a hip-drop tackle on Haze Dunster and Moga joined him on the sidelined after collecting Bailey Simonsson high.

Parramatta are fearing that Dunster did ligament to his left knee in the Fuimaono tackle and said the youngster would have a scan tomorrow.

"I actually don't think that was intentional," Braith Anasta of the Fuimaono tackle on Fox League.

"I don't think it was a stereotypical hip-drop (tackle), I don't think he meant it, he was just trying to get him to the ground.

"But he has a bad reputation, he has a bad record."

Parramatta have run in two converted tries in the opening 11 minutes – and both came in impressive fashion.

Hayze Perham scored the opener when he capped an electric passage of play on the left edge sparked by a Shaun Lane line-break.

And shortly after Oregon Kaufusi sliced through from close range.
